Government Grants

Recently I purchased a Getting Started Kit that promised me a grant in 90 days or my money back. ($24.95) So I sent a well-thought out letter to 100 different addresses from Florida to Hawaii. So far 26 letters have come back to me Return to Sender or Address Unknown. Only 2 Foundations were kind enough to write me back and tell me that their Foundations have been disbanded for YEARS!! So basically the List of Addresses this company sent me is bogus!! I guess my question is are there any legitimate organizations out there that won’t take advantage of a needy person and actually do as they promise? Has anyone out there ever successfully received a government grant? How did you do it? How long did it take? Please leave your email address so I can contact you further.
